Rui Kikuchi

Rui lives and works in Japan and Australia.

Rui's work reflects her experience of living in both Australia and Japan. The simplicity of designs combined with her metal working skills has resulted in this range of delicate flower works. Hollow forms are hand sawn and soldered and often finished with a silk thread.

Rui has exhibited throughout Japan and Australia since 2001, and has won several design awards including in 2007 the Janet Holmes a Court Grant, National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA) in Australia. Rui holds qualifications from Itami College of Jewellery in Hyogo, Japan and a Bachelor of Visual Art, Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney
